CHA photos

DSC06570

Sorry I wasn’t able to upload photos while I was at CHA.  My roomy, Janine, and I didn’t have internet access unless we wanted to pay $10 per day, per computer for us to be able to use it for a few hours a day.  The other option (and yes, we tried) was to get the WiFi at the convention center…….for $50 a day!!!  We  opted not.  ;o)

So, here are a few photos taken while I was there.  I didn’t take a ton….I wish I had.  Lesson learned for next time!  And I’ll make some videos too!

Cathie Filian and Steve Piacenza from DIY Network’s Creative Juices.  I did a make & take at their booth.  Both are very friendly and personable.  He’s probably more on the friendly side than she is….but that’s probably expected, right?

Emma Lou from Heartfelt Creations and me.  I adore their stamps and Emma Lou is SO sweet!!  She even remembered me stalking visiting her booth at CKC in Texas!  :o)

Tim Holtz and me.  Sheri took this picture.  She took the first one, which was blurry, so I’m giving her the “snap it already!” look.  LOL

Julie Fei-Fan Balzer – I stopped by her booth as well.  She’s just as chatty in person as she is on TV.  LOL

The next few photos are of the beautifully decorated Heartfelt Creations booth.   All of these flowers are made using the Heartfelt Creations stamps and cut with Spellbinders dies.  Yes!  Even all of those flowers on the picket fence and in the birdbath are flowers made with their stamps.  :o)

Freebie of the new Tropical Tangerine Stickles.  So pretty!!

The next several photos are of the new Spellbinders dies.  Good thing it wasn’t a consumer show.  I’d have gone bankrupt on this booth alone!!  LOL

Again, I wish I had taken more product photos, but there were signs and frequent announcements asking us not to take photos without the consent of the booth owner…and I have this fear of rejection, so I just don’t ask!  *sigh*

Please stay safe and warm away from the elements this weekend!!

TUTORIAL - Draw & Cut With Cricut

HELLO friends!!!

I recently made this Cinderella CD Cover using the Happily Ever After Cricut cartridge, Design Studio and a Quickutz Silhouette pen.  I know there are a lot of places out there selling the special housing for gel pens and such, but this is a MUCH cheaper alternative!!!  ;o)

So, anyway…….I’ve done a quick tutorial showing how to use the Cricut, Cricut Design Studio and QuicKutz Silhouette pens to draw and then cut an image.

I hope this video was helpful.  If something isn’t clear in the video or you have questions, please leave a comment on this post and I’ll email you back.  Please, please, please make sure you leave an email address as well!  I like respond to each comment that is left for me here, however a lot of times there is no email address associated with the comment.

Have a great week!!!

{hugs}

Billie

PS – If you’re going to be at CHA in California, please stop by the Stamping Scrapping, Notions or Spellbinders booth to say hi!  I will be bouncing between the three places.  :o)

Cinderella CD Cover

Hello Friends!!

I’m here today with another CD Cover for Kellukas Photography.  This one is for a little girl’s one-year birthday!  Her party was in Disney Princesses.  Woohoo!  A girly cover!!!  And you should see the precious photos Kelli took of this little girl (visit Kellukas Photography).  There is one photo that is to-die-for precious where she has icing all over her face.  CUTE!

Anyway, here is the front of CD cover.  I also decorate the inside cover, however I can’t really show that to you because it has the child’s information.  But it’s done with a cute font (Care Bears) and the two polka dot patterned papers you see here on the front.  :o)

Items Used on This Project:

The patterned papers are all sparkly and so is Cinderella’s crown….even if you can’t see that in the photo!  ha!!!

I drew and cut this image using the Cricut and Happily Ever After Cricut Cartridge.  Want to learn how?  Check back next week for a tutorial!!  ;o)

Bildmalarna – PINKS!!

HAPPY SUNDAY!!!

So…..I was laying on my couch this afternoon, enjoying a nice leisurely afternoon with an ice cold Coca Cola and my laptop while it rained outside, when all of a sudden, I realized that I had a Bildmalarna Design Team project due…….TODAY!!!!  Yeah!  So, I threw this wall decor thingy together, took photos, lost all of them somewhere in the transfer between camera and computer and had to go take more.  *sigh*  I think I’m going to go back to the couch now!  LOL

Like many of you probably did, I bought a Gypsy at Michaels last weekend for a whopping $49!  I never had a desire – AT ALL – to have one!  I don’t know what possessed me!  Maybe because I’ve been going to crops and the thought of hauling these cartridges with me makes me want to just stay home?  IDK…..but I bought one…..and I love it!  :o)
