Card with Clear Overlay
This is a card I made using the clear plastic from a package. I just cut off the areas that weren't flat and stamped a few different stamps all over it with StazOn ink. I then placed the clear plastic over the top of a piece of pink scrapbook paper. I used glue dots under the ladybugs so they weren't visible. I also used a little yellow ribbon and a white flower, then adhered it on top of a white card blank. Now we have a use for the plastic packaging and let's face it...we get a LOT of it with this scrapbooking addiction!!!

8X8 Layout Challenge
One of the yahoo groups I'm on had a challenge for an 8x8 layout. This is the one I put together.
I used a light purple cardstock (12x12 that I cut to 8x8 size), punched the bottom with a Martha Stewart border punch (scalloped edge with tiny hearts), used an "Around the Block" roll-on transfer for the sentiments across the top, made a triple mat, added "Love Struck" from a pack of little banners (got them at Michaels) used "K & Company" rub-ons for "Love" and the items around it, used SCAL to create the heart pocket card, made a small bow out of ribbon and finished it off with a little LePlume marker around the edges of the pocket card. I got almost everything for this LO at Michaels today on clearance. Love those scrapbooking clearances!!!! :o)

Sour Cream Containers
Here are a few of the sour cream containers I've made. I ran out of double sided tape, so I can't do any more tonight. Bummer...I was having fun!!!
The "I love you" paper was purchased on clearance at Hobby Lobby a while back. It started out as an 8.5x11 sheet. I cut it down to a 4.25x5.5 piece of paper.
This one is made out of a 6x6 piece of paper. It started out as a 12x12 paper. I'm not positive, but I think I purchased it at Michaels. The stamp was a cheap acrylic stamp from the Michaels $1 bin. It came with several other stamps...and quite honestly, I don't like how it stamps! ;o)

A little photo editing...
It's been a while since I updated my blog, so I decided to show you what I've been working on today! This photo is of my grandparents. Sadly, my grandmother died in 1993, but thankfully my grandfather is still with us. He turned 80 this year. I made my first card ever for his birthday. You may remember seeing it. If not, it's on my blog toward the bottom of page 2...maybe the first of page 3. :o)
ANYWAY, this is the BEFORE photo of my grandparents. It is not the original, but rather a copy of the original that I scanned into my computer. I'm not sure how they'll convey on the web, but the "before" had a few creases where someone folded it and it has several dark spots.
This is the AFTER photo. I fixed the creases and removed the dark spots. I'm VERY new at editing photos and this is my first stab at using "The Gimp", so my projects will hopefully get better over time. :o)
I would love to hear what you think and get your input on fixing anything else you see in the photo.
