Feature Friday – Boo Witchy

DSC02194

Well, I’m only an hour and 20 minutes late on this post.  Oops!  I remembered yesterday, printed my image and then forgot again…until about 12:05 when I was still 15 minutes from home!  *sigh*  You’d think I’d have tons of time now that I’m home alone all day, right?  Uh, nope!  ;o)

For this card, I used:

  • BooWitchy – The Character Cafe
  • Copics – C7, YR07, 100, E33, E99, YR09, C3, E50, E53, YG17 AND R27
  • Prima Flower
  • Brad with Orange Center
  • Black Ribbon
  • Patterned Paper – The Paper Studio All Seasons

I don’t think it turned out too bad for a 30 minute card!  LOL

Thanks for stopping by today and I hope to see you soon!!!

The Character Cafe Blog Hop!

DSC02109

Sadly enough, this is the last blog hop for our Design Team term with The Character Cafe. Kelly & Kendra have told the DT members that if anyone wants to stay to let them know. I told them I’d like to stay if they’ll have me – LOL! I haven’t heard the final word on that yet, but this IS the last blog hop for a few of our members, as they have chosen to step down due to life and other obligations. It has been an honor to work with such a truly talented team and although I will miss chatting it up with you through our team posts, we will still keep in touch via our blogs!!

Okay, sorry for the sidetrack there, but had to get that said. NOW…on with the blog hop!!! If you haven’t hopped here by way of Elaine’s blog, please go to Steph’s page and start at the beginning.

Altered Storage Tin

DSC02056

For today’s Feature Friday for The Character Cafe, I have chosen to do an altered storage tin that I am using to store my Cuttlebug embossing folders.  It was REALLY simple to do!  I colored this flower last week and ended up not using it on my project.  I’ve slept a little since then, so I couldn’t tell you which Copic colors I used.  Sorry!!!

I got the lunchbox tin at Michaels.  It was about $6 and I used a coupon.  The polka dot ribbon is Colorbok 5/8” ribbon.  All the colored and patterned paper is by American Crafts.  To adhere the paper to the tin, I used Scor Tape.

Please make sure you stop by our other DT members to see what they have in store for you this week!

  • Sara
  • Mary
  • Heather
  • Steph
  • Shelley
  • Elaine
  • Tesa
  • Colleen

Thanks for stopping by!  Please check back again as I hope to get “rested up” and back into the crafting groove very soon.  :o)

    Yee-haw birthday card…TCC Feature Friday

    DSC01952

For this weeks Feature Friday, I decided to go with this “Yee Haw” sentiment from The Character Cafe.  I think it turned out pretty cute and some male “cowboy” type just might like this one!

    Here is what I used:

    • Sentiment – The Character Cafe
    • Cowboy – Viva Las Vegas Stamps
    • Patterned Paper – The Paper Studio “The Basics”
    • Buttons & Ribbon – from my stash
    • Dimension – Paisley Cuttlebug Folder
    • Copics – E21, E50, B24, B32, E27, E33, R27, R29
    • Brown Paper – American Crafts Neopolitan

You can probably see the distressing on the brown paper, but I just took a pair of scissors and scraped over the top of the embossing to rough it up a bit.  I guess I’m going to have to raid the hubby’s tool box to get me some sandpaper.  ;o)

    Thanks for stopping by!

This has all the same supplies and colors as the other card, but I reversed the colors on the bear.  This one will be going up on Etsy.

    Thanks for looking!

My husband’s second cousin sent us a birth announcement a few days ago, so I created this card to send to them.  I used:

    • Purple Cardstock – Stampin Up
    • Patterned Paper – Martha Steward Playful Pink Stack
    • Vellum – THRIFT STORE FIND!!!!
    • Skittles
    • Ribbon – Sugar & Spice from Michaels
    • Paper Punch – Martha Stewart (Doily?)
    • Copics – C3, C5, R22, R32
    • Embossing – Cuttlebug Bubbles
    • Bear Stamp – No clue, ha!
    • Baby Girl Sentiment – from computer fonts

I’ll be duplicating this shortly to put up in my Etsy store!  :o)
