The Character Cafe Feature Friday

DSC01941

Why oh why do I insist on waiting until the last minute to do a project?  I know when they’re due…I just procrastinate!  UGH!  I couldn’t decide on an image, so I colored the sunflower with Copics, then printed out the “Keep Out” sign, toyed with the idea of using “The Big Catch” image.  *sigh*  Anyway, here is what I finally came up with and what I used - LOL:

  • Image – The Character Cafe
  • Screwdriver Brads – Recollections
  • Patterned Paper – DMD Casual
  • Buttons – from my stash
  • Twine – Kite string…ha ha!!!
  • Copics – E27, E37, E31

Thanks for stopping by!  Keep checking back!  I have a lot of projects in the works for the coming week.  Hopefully they’ll all make it on to paper!  ;o)

Our Friendship is…

DSC01909

I used the same House Mouse image, colors and sketch as the last card.  Something’s different?  Yes, it is.  I rotated it, used a different color ribbon, used a different sentiment and went over the tub a few more times with the purple to make it darker.  This sentiment is also from The Angel Company.  :o)

Thanks!

House Mouse Challenge #48

DSC01904

House Mouse Challenge #48 is to use a sketch.  It was a cute sketch too!!!

I used:

  • House Mouse – Bunny Bath
  • All colored papers – American Crafts
  • Ribbon – Target Dollar spot & it matched perfectly!
  • Sentiment – The Angel Company
  • Embossing Folder – Cuttlebug Swiss Dots
  • Bling – Shining
  • Copics – C1, C3, C5, C7, BV02, BV00, E02

I also stamped the bunny image on the outside of the envelope and left it uncolored.  And in case you can’t tell, the bunny’s tub is a light purple color.  I tried and tried to get the colors to come through right, but this is as close as I could get it….

Under The Sea

The Scrappy Frogs challenge this week is “Under The Sea”.  I already had this digital image colored from our beach trip, so I decided to use it.  VERY simple since I printed the image so big (oops!).  Here’s what I used:

  • Underwater Scene – Dustin Pike
  • Thought Bubble – Wild Card Cartridge
  • Aleene’s Paper Glaze (for the bubbles)
  • Dolphin – SCAL
  • Thinking of You Sentiment – My Sentiments Exactly!
  • Googly eye – okay, only the bead from inside it because my dolphin needed an eye!  ;o)
  • Copics – B32, B26, YG17, E33, R24, E99, E21, YR07, Y06, Y08, B24, C1, BV02, B12, G05, BV00, B60, C3, C5, C7

Is it just me or does anyone else feel like they’re calling out Bingo #s when they’re referring to Copic #s!  ha ha ha!!!

Hope everyone is having a great day and I’ll see you TOMORROW for The Character Cafe’s Feature Friday post.  Woohoo!!!

A BABY!!!

House Mouse Challenge #47 says “White on White”.  I thought this was going to be difficult and boring, but it wasn’t nearly as hard as last week’s “No Coloring” challenge!

I colored my image a few days ago and while I couldn’t sleep last night, I put the rest of this card together.  It was SO easy and I really like the finished result.  Here’s what I used:

  • PAPER – Georgia Pacific Image Plus Cardstock
  • COPICS – C1, C3, C5, C7, 0, RV000, RV02, RV10, E33
  • RIBBON – from my stash
  • Cuttlebug Folder – Swiss Dots
  • Frame – Fam-Bjork

That’s probably the least # of items I’ve used on a card in a long time!  2_small

An up-close view of the bunny & frame.  Isn’t this bunny just too cute?!?  And yes, I know most bunnies are brown, but I wanted HER gray!  ha!

Cuttlebug Challenge #40

DSC01782

Cuttlebug Challenge #40 was to use their sketch.  I needed to make an anniversary card, so this is what I came up with.  Nope, no Copics were used in the making of this card!  ;o)  Actually, I started out with a Chelsea image, but I ran out of the color I needed right in the middle of it.  I called around to all the local stores and no one had the marker or re-inker that I needed, so I threw in the towel and went another route!  ha!  But I think I like the way it turned out…

Items used:

  • Skittles
  • Buttons
  • Ribbon
  • Duct Tape (foil air duct tape)
  • Patterned Paper and glittery vellum is from a Michaels clearance a while back
  • Date Stamp – Inkadinkado Months and Days
  • Ranger Alcohol Ink – Wild Plum
  • Cuttlebug Folder – Floral Fantasy

I didn’t have the color Skittles and buttons I wanted, so I pulled out the Ranger Alcohol Inks and dyed my own.  ;o)

House Mouse Challenge #46!

DSC01757

House Mouse Challenge #46 says NO COLORING!!!  I tell ya, it was hard as HECK not to color these cute little bunnies!!

Here’s what I used for my card:

  • Happy Hoppers – Party Hoppers stamp
  • Decorative Accents – dyed with Ranger Alcohol Ink
  • Copic – to get the right color orange for my mat ;o)
  • Paper – all colored paper is from Archiver’s
  • Hat Color – homemade ‘glimmer mist’
  • Hat Texture – Cuttlebug Swiss Dots folder

I used the card sketch from Blogabella even though I didn’t use a Bella stamp!  I will be doing a few more cards with this sketch, so I’m sure you’ll see a Bella on here eventually.  ;o)

Thanks for looking and have a great weekend…

Allison’s Card – age 5

DSC01664

This is Allison’s card for the Scrapping Piglet challenge blog.  She picked out these My Little Pony stickers a while back, so when I said the card needed to have an animal on it, she asked for these.  The child has a great memory, I tell you!  The flower on the tail is a Prima.
