Cooking Utensil Organization

Hi Friends!

Thanks for stopping by today!  Billie here with my final DT project for Scrapbook Pal.  It’s a bittersweet moment, for sure!  I’ve really enjoyed working with this DT and must say that it’s been my favorite so far!  Okay, enough sappiness!

I need some organization for my cooking utensils, so when I bought this giant can of tomatoes (to make & freeze homemade pasta sauce), I knew I was going to save it for this exact project!  It’s been sitting in my scraproom for months waiting for me to get around to making it.  Well, today is the day………….  :-)

Because this is going in my kitchen and because of it’s round shape, I kept it super simple!  For the blue, scalloped pieces at the top and bottom, I used Elegant Edges.  I cut three pieces for the top and three pieces for the bottom, glued them together, inked them and adhered them.

For the sentiment, I cut the shape using From My Kitchen.  I cut one on the red paper and one on the white paper and layered them on top of one another.  I printed the “You cook it…You clean it!” text on my printer.  My people are HORRIBLE about saying they want to cook something and then leaving the mess for me to clean up.  I doubt this will help, but it’s worth a try, right?  ;-)

I hope you’re inspired to use some of your soup, tomato, veggie cans, etc for a project!  Help keep those cans out of the landfill, organize your space and have fun with them!

Thanks for stopping by!

Gift Card Holder

Hello!!

I’m here today with a gift card holder for our Scrapbook Pal DT.  I created this for my son’s birthday.  He loves the outdoors and loves to hunt, so………a Bambi and outdoorsy card it was!

This photo is what the front of the gift card envelope looks like.

This photo is of the inside of the gift card holder.  No!  I didn’t *really* give him a gift card to HEB (that’s a grocery store in Texas!!)!  He got a gift card to Game Stop…along with a couple of other things...all of which he really liked!

Here are the products I used on this card.  As always, if you click on the icon, you will be taken to this product in the Scrapbook Pal store!

Thanks for stopping by today……..and a VERY Merry Christmas to you & your family!!

If you click this red & brown card, you’ll see that I added faux stitching around the gingerbread “woman” – see the bow in her hair?  ;-)

Haunted Hollywood Banner

Hi friends!

For today’s project for our Scrapbook Pal DT, I have created a banner for my son’s Halloween dance.  The theme this year was “Haunted Hollywood”.  The kids, as well as the adults, had a great time.  As the kids were leaving, we could hear them commenting about how fun it was and how they hoped we would do another one.  Coming from a group of about 500 6th thru 8th grade students, I’d call that a SUCCESS!  :-)

This banner was 13-15 feet long. I had no way of hanging it to get good photos…..so I enlisted the help of my youngest two. As you can see, they were oh-so-enthusiastic about it too….and I shared one of the best photos I had vs those where they were looking at me, squinting because of the sunlight, with the look of “hurry up already!!!” on their faces.  ;-)

I’m not sure if you can tell from the photos, but I added the name, as well as year of birth and year of death of some of our theater arts teacher’s favorite deceased actors and actresses.

Family “M” CD Cover

Happy (Almost) Halloween!!!

I hope everyone is enjoying some cooler temperatures and you have super fun plans for Halloween with the kiddos! We usually have a low-key Halloween at some friends’ house, but we have a lot of fun!  I’m definitely looking forward to it this year!

Anyway…with a CD cover I made for a photo shoot Kelli of Kellukas Photography did of an adorable family!

For the “M”, I used Cricut Gypsy font from my Gypsy.  The papers are Graphic 45 Le Romantique.  I just love, love, love these papers!!!  They are SO pretty!!!
