On a Cricut board I'm on, we were discussing this technique where you use baby wipes, glossy cardstock and stamp pad re-inkers to create a plaid background effect. I didn't have re-inkers or glossy cardstock, so I decided to give it a go with regular cardstock and Ranger alcohol inks. The baby wipe didn't slide over the cardstock as easily as in Gina K's video, however the end result turned out okay. I made a card out of 1/2 of the square I did. Still have the other 1/2 to use on another project.
The cupcake & sentiment stamps are by Inkadinkado. It's a set of 17 stamps that I bought at Michaels recently with a 50% off coupon. They are regular $9.99. I used my Crop-a-Dile to punch holes to 'feed' my ribbon through and tie it into a little bow, then used pop-dots to lift the cupcake off the card. I think it needs a cherry or something on top. Still trying to decide...
I colored the cupcake with Copic markers. I am still *very* new at this whole Copic thing, so I didn't even bother trying to shade. I've tried a few other times and let's just say it doesn't turn out quite right. ;o)
The Copic colors used are: RV04, Y08, B32 and V17.

A lovely card Billie! :)
This turned out great! If I weren't so scared of making a mess (AND staining my hands), I'd try it! :)
Very cute card! I'm going to have to try that ink technique too... I love the results!
Cute Card Billie! That plaid pattern is so pretty!
Cute! I like it.
I agree, I would like
to see a cherry or maybe
a candle on top.
Nice job!
